Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 19 2026
I take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information I collect, why I collect it, how I store it, and the rights you have over your data. I’ve kept it clear, human, and straightforward.
Who I am
I’m Elaine Chew, an independent learning ecosystem architect and consultant. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach me at: eskchew@gmail.com
I am the data controller for all information collected through this website and my intake form.
2.What information I collect
When you submit an inquiry through my intake form, I collect the information you choose to share, such as:
Your name
Your email address
Details about your project or needs
Any additional information you include in your message
I do not collect sensitive personal data, and I do not use tracking cookies beyond what Squarespace uses for basic site functionality.
3. Why I collect this information (legal basis)
I collect and use your information for:
Legitimate interest — to understand your inquiry, assess whether we’re a good fit, and respond thoughtfully.
Contractual necessity — if we decide to work together, your information may be used to prepare or deliver our agreement.
I do not use your information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in to receive my blog posts.
4. How your data is stored and protected
Your intake form submission is processed by:
Squarespace (website host)
Gmail (email provider)
After I receive your inquiry, I download the form and store it securely on my password‑protected laptop. I do not upload your information to any cloud storage, share it with third parties, or transfer it outside these systems.
Both Squarespace and Google provide GDPR‑compliant processing and security measures.
5. How long I keep your information
I keep inquiry submissions for 12 months.
This helps me understand patterns in the types of projects people seek and follow up on potential collaborations.
After 12 months, your information is deleted from my laptop and email.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
Access the information I hold about you
Request corrections
Request deletion
Withdraw consent (if you previously gave it)
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
To exercise any of these rights, simply email me at eskchew@gmail.com
7. Third‑party processors
I only use trusted service providers to run my website and email:
Squarespace (website hosting and form processing)
Google/Gmail (email)
These providers act as data processors on my behalf and follow GDPR‑compliant practices.
I do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.
8. Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top.
Any significant changes will be clearly noted on this page.
