Systems to support great learning.
Let me be your partner in creating a clear, coherent learning system, that will work now, and as you scale. Together, we can align your vision, pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment so your organization can grow with confidence.
An outside perspective to guide your vision.
Below is a short list of where I can support best, but if you have something else in mind, I encourage you to reach out. A short call could help us figure out where my expertise overlaps with your vision for great learning.
-
If you have a vision for the next big thing in education, but you don’t know where to start with the build, I can help you design the high-level architecture to bring your big idea to life.
What this looks like: Defining your pedagogical guardrails, mapping out a framework that supports your vision and ensuring there is a coherent "North Star" for your team to work towards. I can spot blind spots before you invest in development.
-
If you from an Edtech or product team that has got lost in your features, I am well experienced in transforming learning theory into high-level requirements for your UX/Dev teams.
What this looks like: A feature audit which helps you understand what is supporting your pedagogy, and what is noise that will distract from your core intentions. I can help guide your team on how to align features with the realities of educators and learners user journey, setting you up for success before you blow the budget on development.
-
If you are leading a complex ecosystem, such as a school or product that has scaled quickly, I can help you identify points of friction.
What this looks like: A partial or complete an audit to identify where your tech, curriculum, and operations are no longer working together, helping you understand why the system feels "clunky" for teachers or unscalable for the business.
Structural Recommendations: A strategic "re-wiring" plan that can be used by your leadership team to restore coherence.
My Process
Being a systems specialist, I have a very structured approach to supporting my clients journey, which is loosely based on design thinking. This ensures that every hour we spend together is intentional.
Understand
The first hour of my time is always free, so I can understand quickly if I can support you.
Depending on the scale of the project, we might be able to define project scope from here.
If not, we can schedule a follow up consultation so I can better understand your needs, and where I can best support your journey.
Define
Every journey I join is different, and its important we are aligned on what I will be supporting and timeframes for action.
In general, an additional two consultations are needed for me to fully understand your organization, map pain points and clarify constraints.
From here, I will send you a project scope document, clearly defining what is needed from both parties to ensure success. This is flexible, but will serve as a guide so no one’s time (or money!) is wasted.
Observe and Empathize
This is the main part of our partnership, and the scale of the project will decide how long this will take. This period could involve reviewing existing systems, playing with product frameworks or conducting stakeholder interviews. There is also scope for on site visits if you need an outside perspective on
This is all established when we define project scope, so there will be no surprises as the project unfolds.
Ideate and Recommendations
The last thing anyone wants is advice they won’t use, so the type of strategic recommendations you are looking for will be defined from the start.
This could range from specific digital product recommendations all the way to high- level roadmaps for your team to stay aligned. Expect there to be some time between the last step and this one, I aim to present a clear solution which is personalized to you.
Test and Reflect
To wrap up our project, I will facilitate a reflection so we can identify any refinements needed and where additional support could be required down the line.
At this point, I would be happy to set up a check- in schedule, where I send a quick email every so often to see what is working and what isn’t.
This is also an opportunity for me to gain my own feedback, ensure I can continue to best support other learning organizations.
